Working with the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Higg Co, and Boston Consulting Group, I wrote and art directed a white paper on how COVID-19 will impact sustainability within the apparel, footwear, and textile businesses.
Drawing on surveys with stakeholders, study of prior global crises, and analysis of consumer sentiment, the authors make the case that fashion risks self-inflicted wounds if it abandons sustainability during the pandemic – even as the industry faces substantial economic instability.
The report appeared on the homepage of Women’s Wear Daily, was covered by Forbes, and featured in industry publications the Business of Fashion and Sourcing Journal.
